The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program assists the student who has completed fifty percent of prerequisite nursing courses in entering a dynamic ever-changing profession of nursing through their BSN degree.
The program is based on a philosophical approach to nursing that includes the holistic synthesis of person, health, and environment. The School of Nursing offers the ideal foundation for the development of the professional nurse.
Our program offers several Pathways based on previous education and academic entrance criteria that support student achievement at a professional level.
The School of Nursing receives a high number of applicants for the BSN Program. Each year, we accept an average of 90 students to begin the Basic Admissions Pathway, and 40 students in the Accelerated Pathway.
Our school has on-campus labs and simulations. We also have partnerships with hospitals, schools, community agencies, and other locations for varied educational experiences.
Class is typically from 8am-5pm Monday and Wednesday. Clinicals are often completed as day or night shifts on the remaining days of the week.
This program is one that requires professional licensure. Professional licensure regulations and requirements vary from field to field, and from state to state. Each state and U.S. territory has an authority that is responsible for overseeing the licensure requirements of the various professions in that state. To learn more about licensure requirements for this program, please visit CSU Pueblo’s State Authorization webpage here .
The Basic BSN Program starts in January for all pathways except the Accelerated Pathway. The Accelerated Pathway has a rolling start date.
The application deadline for all pathways except Accelerated falls on May 25th of every year. The application deadline for the Accelerated Pathway falls on October 1st of every year.
